OK, here is the deal
I want to make a drop in STI/2.5sohc hybrid for my 00 2.5rs.

What I have to work with is an STI short block, STI oil pan, and this 04 2.5rs SHOC engine. As close as the 04 engine is to the 00 there is some differences, which I did not know and am currently paying for.



here is the shopping list.
The accessory belt tensioner and 2 bolts to mount it to the block


Power steering tank and cap (00 2.5rs style see above)

The ac and alternator belt covers and hardware


99-01 SOHC engine wiring harness

WRX intake manifold

I have a WRX dipstick and dipstick tube. I don't think the WRX dipstick will work with your STI oil pan but you might be able to use the WRX dipstick tube if they are the same. Check into it and let me know. You can have it cheap, just pay for shipping plus a few bucks.

 

Looks like I have to keep the oil pump, dip stick, dip stick tube, and oil pain all the same (betwen wrx sti and rs). So it looks like I need the STI stuff. Thanks for the offer though.

hey cudaeh, i have those belt covers and a power steering pump on my spare motor. the pwr steering pump is off a '98 so it should bolt right in. let me know if you still want those parts
