Vishnu TBE fit
David or Shiv or whoever,
Noticed that my TBE seems to be hitting the frame of the car were the pipe passes between the frame or suspension bits and the rear diff. do i need some longer exhaust hangers to remedy this or is something not lined up correctly. The direct contact with the car is causing some uncomfortable cabin vibrations during accelertion (full and partial), and is really pissing me off. Also can any one whip me up a new O2 sensor harness, I hacked the old one then found out I did not have to and prefer it to be in one peice (sans splicing), let me know If anyone can source this or if you guys have any ideas on a fix. Also, are people putting the heat shield back on, because that downpipe is about twice as big as the stock one???

Yes i would recomend putting the turbo heat shielded back on, you have to cut it up to get it to fit. I am sure there have been some "how to" threads on here of how much to cut it. It does help keeping the temps down around the intercooler. Or you can buy and after market heat shield from cusco or anther aftermarket brand like that.

David,
Ok some wiggling adjusting and some Kartboy exhaust hangers have solved my problem, just to let everyone know, I love this exhaust, coupled with the AP STG 2 this thing is a monster. I also highly recommend the Kartboy hangers, very good, much better than stock

I have the same problem. My exhaust was hitting in the exact same spot. I used an ziptie on the right muffler hanger to hold the exhaust over to the right. How much better does it sit in there with the new hangers? If you could can you post some pics with the before and after.......Thanks

I have an STi with the TBE and I had the same problem (pipe hitting the rear diff) I just used stainless pipe clamps to squeeze, lengthen and subsequently stiffen the rubber hangers and no more bang problems except in extreme situations.. However, i would love to get those kartboy hangers if they work better... gotta link?
