Stage Zero v280 question...

The XEDE stage zero seems to fit my needs very well and am very interested in it for it's flexibility later down the line should I wish to upgrade or modify. If I already have another brand of up-pipe (Bosal) and crank pulley (Perrin), will the v280 map work with these parts or will it need to be tweaked?

Thanks for your time...

Rob

Sure will. Not a problem. However, lightwieght pullies are pretty much worthless. Only time your going to make any signficant amount of power with a pulley will be through slightly underdriving the accessories. Taking away 3-4lbs of rotating mass that is rotating just inches from the center of rotation doesn't result in any substantial improvements in engine response. A good underdrive pulley will result in 7-10hp gains when tested in controlled conditions on a dyno. I have yet to be able to document any gains of a lightweight pulley under any conditions.

Just an FYI

Thanks Shiv. I haven't bought the pulley yet, but I do have the up-pipe. My main concern was with A/C and electrical load. I've heard mixed reviews on underdriven pullies so I still need to research it more. I want the power, but don't want to sacrifice comfort (my wife would kill me)...

Appreciate your time!

I understand your concern but our UD pulley will not have any effect on your accessories. I promise Some are too underdriven. Others not enough. Like Goldilocks said, our pully is *just right*

Sorry to resurrect this old post. Thanks for all your input before. I am piecing together my Stage Zero kit now. I just found a used Vishnu underdrive pulley from an i-Club'er to go with my Bosal uppipe. Installed it and love it! You're right...it's "just right". I plan on coming in for the Stage Zero reflash when I get the uppipe in.

Question: After looking at earlier Stage Zero kits (back when you used Unichip-see attached photo), they used cooler spark plugs. I no longer see cooler plugs listed as part of your package. Are cooler plugs still part of the Stage Zero package while using a reflash or XEDE piggyback system from you guys?

Thanks!

I doubt the plugs are still a part of the package.....they however might be useful to fend off a little detenation here and there.
