Just thought it was funny the guy took time to bust one off while watching his car burn, making a bit of humor in an all-bad situation, and then making it obvious by cutting the music.
I'm sending this to my friend who loves VW's. His last rabbit went up in flames just like that one. The car was engulfed in flames, Fire department comes and uses a huge pry bar to peel back the hood of his car. It was like they were opening a can. They then stuffed the hose into it and drenched the engine.
As a side note his other rabbit died on the highway. The city thought it was abandoned because it didn't have registration. They cubed it with all his cds in the back seat. His beetle hasn't run in about 9 years. His VW golf with a roll cage hasn't run for almost 2 years because he can't figure out the timing. His jetta take 20 tries to start it on cold days..... The list goes on and on.

Wow, that's nuts. I've never seen a car fire so involved that clearly had nothing to do with the fuel system. Maybe he cut through the firewall when routing the pipes for the turbo? It is pretty clear that the dashboard itself caught on fire, and that was the source of the problem -- but how did the fire get through the firewall itself, which is designed specifically to PREVENT that from happening (hence the name).
You can't put out burning plastic with a fire extinguisher, or with water -- it puts out flammable gases as a combustion by-product, and in fact some types of plastic can burn underwater. You'd have to have a chemical foam or halon extinguisher, and those can kill you (the person putting out the fire!) if you're not careful -- halon in particular will literally rip the oxygen from your lungs.

yep.. that's why if you have a Halon or class D fire extiguisher ur trained to take a DEEP breath.. Hold it and fire away.. don't try to breath.. cause u'll be dead *asphixiated*
