Video of my Supercharged RS

This is from an auto-X.
At the time of the event the car was running on stock 134,000 mile suspension, with WRX wheels and tires, 5psi of boost via supercharger, complete exhaust, too many other small mods to list.

Enjoy

I used spray paint, my first 4 layers were with gray primer, the next 5 layers with ford blue. It's been over a year and it's holding up very well, but it's lighter then I'd like it. But hey, can't beat a painted manifold for $5!

why is it that a lot of supercharged, and turbocharged cars are sucking engine bay air and not
fender air?

I'll tell you my reason, I don't have the plastic skid pads underneath so there is plenty of air coming in from the bottom, I also have a heat shield separating the filter from the engine. The other reason why I don't have it is because you're supposed to have the MAF right after the filter, well if I place my filter in the fender there will be water splashing on it and it'll fry it, and if I extend the piping after the MAF it can mess up the readings. Plus I've never had any issues with detonation, but if I do I have knock guard for that
If I had a car with a MAP on the other hand, I would be drawing air from the fender with out a doubt.
