When I was 5, I lived in Colorado. We lived up in the mountains west of Boulder. While driving home, in the back of a Datsun 210 in the middle of winter, we hit some ice, drifted into the mountain face, and were riccocheted (sp?) over the edge. The car rolled like 5 times, and ended up upside down in the stream at the bottom. I didnt have shoe on, and no seatbelt (this was like 25 years ago.) Neither my mom nor I (we were the only ones in the car) were hurt, no scrapes, no bumps, a few small bruises. We had to climb back up the mountain in about 2-3 feet of snow. All with NO shoes. No frostbite... It was one of the scariest things I have ever experienced. I can understand the fear these guys must have experienced.
