its fiber compasit basically fiberglass and graphite mixed with abs.. but yeah in essance plastic but in most cases its stronger than aluminum... pritty much use nitrous in moderation any thing will blow if you push too much gass through it.. it did not fail just because the intake manafold was plastic.
