My brother recently moved out of Vacaville. It's a nice place. It's good if you can appreciate both worlds of imports and domestics, but if I'm not mistaken, this happens to be a Subaru forum. Correct me if I'm wrong, but Subaru falls under the import category. You should express your American Muscle Icon pride in their respective forums.

WOW!!! Holy s%&^ Every fu#^&)* thread here has some useless, simple minded, B.S. to be read. Give me a F$%&$* break. Do you have some vested interest in Subaru as a company or philosphy or something that makes you all feel like you must bash this guy. F'ing suby gang or something. Good Lord, get a life...y'all.

American CARS ARE sh*t! Who's really gonna argue with that. (No mention of trucks right? If you just gotta haul a 5000 lb 5th wheel to have some outdoor fun ~ Then there is a ford F350 in your future).

So, I have managed to own about 15 cars in my lifetime so far (was in the original 'muscle car' era * he says meekly *).

I have never owned a single piece (I'll be kind here) of American Iron... Drove Steedsters, 356s, 2002s, 3.0CSs, 911s (on and on) instead. Why?

Cause American cars fall apart, always have sh*t brakes, trannys, suspensions and have worse re-sale value then my mother-in-law!!!

There are plenty of people who don't know a damn thing about cars... and Detroit shall live on thanks to these uneducated buyers. Detroit should send them all a free car ~ But, instead they kill the faithful wilh 'employee pricing', 'deep discounts', '$5K
rebates' and now their 'faithful' customer base are completely upside down on their loans, because Detroit has destroyed the re-sale value of the domestics and they are left to driving total pieces of crap.

Ah... the American Way. Gotta love it... :rotfl:

American Muscle cars were more about the attitude and feel. They didn't perform particularly well from the factory, especially when it came to corners, but they felt badass. Same goes for Harleys and the like. They're not the fastest things on the road, but it's about the attitude.

It may be fun owning/building one, but I'm a driver...one who finds joy in the corners with a well-sorted out car....like a Subaru. Nothing against muscle cars, but I too want more out a car than just HP.

I am not bashing any type of car company. I love cars period. Alson, I am only in vacaville because the military relocated me here for the past three years. I am not a wannabe red neck country bumkin. I am a true southerner from louisiana who takes pride in Americanism.

Define "Americanism".

If you think "Americanism" is taking pride in American trucks and cars, then speak for yourself. I love our country, just not it's automobiles.
