that dude needs to ride in a true muscle car and revisit what he said. True, american cars generally suck, but that's only the economy cars. Trucks rule and muscle cars rock.

Have you watched Jeremy Clarkson's The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly? It is where Jeremy goes to American and reviews all the American cars, although it was originally made for the British (there's a lot of American car bashing) he does get to test all of them. A few 'muscle' cars he reviews is the Mustang (1968 390GT, the new Shelby Mustang, New Roush Mustang), Viper, Corvette Z06, Ford GT, and then some.

He'll say that they're good for going straight which is true. He looks for other qualities besides just monsterous power.

You all say that, but how many of you actually built a muscle car from the ground up and experienced the true pride in American icons?

And your point is ... ? There is a number of people here that has built Imprezas from the ground up - believe it or not. I am sure it is just as invigorating as building an American muscle car, only that there is a little more technical know- how involved.

I don't mean to attack you or your car beliefs. I just want to point out that even Jeremy Clarkson says, "You would just want to get in this car (Insert American Muscle) and cruise the highway." or something along the lines of that.

I'm just pointing out that he wants more out of a car besides power. Also, I'm sure if anyone built any performance car from the ground up it's a great feat worthy of flaunting.

Jeremy Clarkson's opinions aren't any more important than the next guys. The guy is just biased against American cars... except for the GT40 he bought because he is a closet Ford fanboi.
