From: FIXED the Hack: IWSTI>iclub - really, was the hack necessary; as in why the insecurity? Most people on this forum don't even have an STI- so that site isn't meant for them anyway- damn communists and their free-speech stifling ways

that was some awesome understeer

It looked like the driving skill of a really new driver, or someone that was nervous out of their mind, but either way it's really got to suck crashing in that manner.

judging from the smoke off the tires he locked them up when he saw the tree coming for him. turning the wheel might not have had much effect anyway.

new record for 0-60-0 in a 350z? haha

To emphasize again : that was NOT AN AUTOCROSS EVENT!!!

Rather, it was an event put on by Drift Circuit at Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego this past weekend. There was a separate SCCA Autocross event at the same site going on at the same time.

That drift course wouldn't come even close to meeting SCCA Autocross course safety standards

Seriously...who thought of setting up a course designed for novices so that a friggin tree was at the end of a "straightaway" or at the edge of the course...these guys aren't obviously Colin McCrae

If you notice, he does try to turn at the last moment before impact....I just feel bad for the guy...how embarrassing is that...and costly...damn

well, if that was a guy out there in a beat S13 or corolla for the first time I might feel the same, but its hard for me to feel sorry for a guy that spends that much money to make his brand new 350Z look like he just came off the Formula D circuit without even learning to drift first.

30K car + 10K in parts/rice = 11 seconds total drifting career, damn thats about 4K for ever second he ever attenpted drifting, hope it was worth it!:rotfl:

ahaha..Good point...good times

BTW Krinkov...your 240SX is tempting man...I'm always looking for something to start off my track/autox experience with...dont know if it would be the best for learning to drive at the limit..but I'm getting off subject.

yeah I was putting that together to go straight on the track, I know a few guys with killer S14 track cars, but umm... no drifting for me

umm...yeah....ouch.

Try explaining that to the wife.....then I'd feel sorry for him.

And that is BS the way the course was set up.....they definately didn't even think about that.
Initial entry off of a straight into the curve....yeah....the tree belongs there
