And recaro seats! And now that I think about it a wing LIKE the evo... I love the fact that the center of it is CF... that would look bad *** on our cars! :-)
It would be hands down awesome! with those upgrades from the factory!

And for those who think the STi will always be outhandled by the Evo, just to tell you, Subaru has already proven that they can beat the Evo in every single regard with the '05 Spec-C. Best Motoring did some time trials which the Spec-C was atleast 1 second quicker around Tsukuba which is only about a 1 minute lap so 1 second is a huge margin, and a race (which the Evo won because the STi got stuck behind some slower Evo RSs) yet the Spec-C still somehow got the fastest lap time when it finally was able to pass them.

Though, the STi's suspension has more travel to make it better prepped than the Evo for dirt.

I never planned on taking my car on a rally or even taking it in the dirt so the suspension travel on the STI would be worthless to me.

I am curious though. What EVO were they comparing the Spec-C to? We could always throw the FQ-400 in the mix. ; )

R34 V SpecII Nür > any evo or sti
that's some werid data from ROAD & TRACK... my motor trend shows that MR 13.3 vs STI 13.0 at 1/4 miles...seems werid that 13.5@105.9 mph vs 13.6@99.6...i remeber i read from one of those mag. they had comparsion between evo 8 vs STI that came out with werid data also, which was that something like 0-60 feet .. etc, and the whole data shows STI is faster but ended up EVO is faster in 1/4 miles.. and i had no idea how that happened... can't really trust those things..
PS, who cares about STI is faster or EVO stock vs stock??? i dont see u really have any chance to race ur car STOCK anyway...mods = money = winner on street and stripe!

again both cars are the shiznit no matter what anyone says to out do one another. honestly I think american critics are more bias towards the evo because of 2 fast 2 furious vs how critics in japan and europe are bias towards the sti.......of course this is just my opinion and I dont need anybody to argue this opinion with me......

I know niether are drag racers, but that is just how it is in the US.
ehh we got shafted here in NA and SOA toned down the STi. Slower steering rack, higher suspension, 2.5 is ok, but the heads aren't as good, and no twin scroll setup. 6 speed has gears spaced further apart for our longer travling distances and highways.
It makes sense though. Every article I've read states that the EVO is fun to drive, but it's hard to live with day to day. Where as the STi is a much better daily driver. I know many of you young people don't care about that, but it's something SOA thought was important. I just wish the STi came in various levels like in Japan and the US EVO, RS, and MR.
I will admit the EVO is a hell of a lot easier to make faster for less money. I can't deny that. Hell, the stcok 16G turbo is what, 10.5cm and capable of close to 400WHP? Hell, without going rotated mount we are lucky to get an 8cm turbo. Anyway SOA is offering different levels of WRX so maybe they will offer different levels of STi, Spec-C/Ra anybody
.
oh and I knew this thread would go down this road. It's dumb
