Thanks to Ed and Adam at EQ Tuning!!!

Last week went to EQ Tuning for a Invidia HF catted DP, Invidia Q300 TBE install and Protune. After the DP and TBE was install we started to tune. In the few pulls we got off, the AFR's were all over the place, very inconsistent, lower RPM good, high RPM's were all over the place, like the injectors were needed more fuel. Ed felt it was the fuel pump. So we stopped and order a new Walbro FP

I had my Walbro fuel pump installed today, after a modification to the fuel pumps housing/bucket because the Walbro was longer than the stock FP, thanks Ed and Adam. JUST A WARNING on the 08 stock fuel pump. Mine was a POS, really inconsistent. I will post the date sheets as soon as I get them showing the differences between the stock and the Walbro. Want to thank Ed and Adam (wrenching) from EQ Tuning for doing a great job on my car. With the Walbro installed and the first pull I could tell that was the problem and the data proved it, the AFR's were inline with where they should be and the tuning began

We did a couple of pulls in 2nd gear and about a dozen in 3rd. Did a few 1st-4th pulls and the car is amazing. After a discussion on how aggressive I wanted the tune, I told Ed I wanted a safe/smooth tune and he did just that. We spent at least 2 1/2 hours on the road tweaking and the final numbers are 270HP and 303Tq. Ed did a fantastic job, he was professional and really cares about getting the tune just how you want it.

So you 08 STI owners, make sure your stock fuel pumps are working properly. Keep an eye on your AFR's or you could have a real problem down the road.

Here is the data sheet for the tune.

Klenboy, Nice numbers !! During my tune yesterday Ed and I were talking about headers. It nice to see with a header and injectors the number I can expect. Yes, I was relieved it was the fuel pump and glad we found it out sooner than later. Take Care.

Glad we got your STi all squared away Craig! From the purple flanged stock DP to the pesky abnormal acting stock FP. All in all we set you up for a very fun and reliable car. Enjoy brother...

Thanks for the kind words Craig! I'm really glad we got your car running properly and even happier that the fuel pump turned out to be the problem. Another quick 08 STI out there

KrAzYkld, Thanks, the car running great, the sound is actually getting a little deeper as the exhaust burns in.
