Wonder what it would be on a diff dyno... Better yet, how about that fictional "to the crank" HP number that dealers put out on their cars. I'd probably be like 350 lol.

If you get bigger/higher preforming parts, say you start to feel your current turbo gets to not be enough, or you go FMIC etc., the injectors may prove to be a bottleneck if not sufficiently sized to make the most of those parts.

Heat + O2 + fuel = fire, aka chemical reaction

Which for hydrocarbon fuels means converting the liquid fuel into gas and heat (release of energy from breaking chemical bonds), where the heat causes the gas to expand, pressing the pistons in the cylinder, rotates the crank...

-(Initial) heat is begotten through the spark plugs.

-O2 through higher flowing pipes - in or out, air or exhaust - expunging exhaust opens up room in the cyl to let air in again, and not have any remnant exhaust retard ignition.

-But fuel? That variable can choke tentative higher power.

As said by Superusdm, 1000cc injectors are plenty big, and perhaps can provide more fuel than your current set up can keep up with. Not to say they're flooding the engine, just that with other parts, there is the potential for more power.

HTH

Seems like he was happy with the service, the tuner, and the results before you guys decided you knew better than one of the best subaru tuners in the world.

Bottom line...

1. Does your car run smooth?
2. Is it reliable?
3. Did you make solid gains?

Then the numbers don't mean anything. Dyno sheets are for guys with small wieners that want to say theirs is bigger than yours. If you car feels right it is right.

Could you have gotten more power... maybe. Safely... maybe not. Every combination and every motor is different. Could you put it on another dyno and get higher numbers and shut most of these guys up... yes. Could you push the car as far as possible to get a better dyno number.... sure. But then in 2 months we'd be reading about how you're blown up and going with another tuner. There are at least 4 cars right now on E85 tunes from another shop that I know of that blew up.

Listen to mike. Bigger is not always better.

You have PLENTY of power for a street car and if you're happy... well... you know what they say about opinions...

Personally I was curious about who choose the injectors, and more to the point would they be a good size for me. Even the same motor car to car can be apples to oranges depending on history and intended application, but, well, they're still fruit?

Does sound like it's a nice *reliable* tune though - stars that burn twice as bright last half as long.

Good word

I went to GST Motorsports in Hayward. Mike, the owner gave me mod recommendations all along the way. He has a solid track record and I trust his opinion. He will give you the same advice if you call him and tune with him. Great guy!
