2003 Bugeye 272WHP/258WTQ!!!! by ED @ EQTUNING

So, I finally got my 2003 WRX tuned and I am loving it. I got my car tuned by Ed from EQTuning. All I can say is that Ed did a fantastic job tuning my car. "That's good enough" is never good enough for Ed. He willl make sure that your car running smooth, has great driveability, as well as get as close as possible to your speedracer needs. Throughout the tuning process Ed explained in detail what he was doing and was very patient and answered all of my questions. My car pulls very hard now, driveability is very smooth, and overall a better car. I want to thank Ed @ EQTuning for a great tune and to keep up with the EXCELLENT work he is producing.

Below is my dyno plot....mmm SMOOTH AND POWERFUL!!!!

Thanks for the nice review. Your car felt great after the tune and made unusually good torque for a 2.0l. The VF43 really works well on the 2.0's.

Thanks

Yes, the car pulls very hard and it's a very smooth power delivery. I finally got to do a 1st and 2nd gear pull, all alone. I snapped my neck back in each gear even though I was ready for it. haha.

Ed, whats your opinion on the ebay TMIC?

Graph looks great, makes power alllllll the way to redline....nice.....I bet it would make great power with a high octane tune also...

Yeah, the car pulls all the way to redline and I am sure some high octane would produce some good numbers on my car.

The e-bay tmic is decent and usually works well. The fitment on it is not so great and the product is a bit inconsistent as a whole. The bang for the buck is there, but its by no means a "high quality" item. Don't even think about putting it on your car with the stock turbo

Thanks

Great numbers, but the torque comes on a little late compared to the vf 34, 39, and 36.

Is it just this particular car or the turbo?

Torque came on very well in this car. Notice that the torque peak is pretty high at 258ft-lbs... if I kept it to around 245-250ft-lbs peak, we would see that peak before 4k RPM. I've seen torque peak anywhere from 3800-4500RPM on VF series 2.0l setups depending on car and setup. Generally the ones that peak early also have a lower peak value.

Thanks

Ahh, thanks.

Would something like a 3 port BCS help this setup spool quicker?

Are you ever going to tune EcuTek again?
