Car Info: an EQ tuned box
Ed @ EQ Tuning
EQ Tuning delivers.
To make a long story short, my vehicle had been suffering from the dreaded fuel cut. Although the car ran strong (or so I thought), the problem persisted even after retuning with the original tuner. Needless to say, driving around was a chore, not to mention dealing with the embarrassment from passengers when the vehicle stumbles while pulling a pass. :icon_redface: And so I decided to give Ed of EQ Tuning a shot.
It was the best decision I’ve made in a long time.
The wagon now feels like what a “turbo charged” vehicle should be. It pulls strong from 2K all the way to redline, in every gear. No hiccups, no stumbling, just a smooth & linear surge of power. Just to humor myself, I put it in 4th (2K rpm), roll on the throttle and the vehicle accelerated with authority. This wouldn’t have been feasible with the old tune.
Ed really did an outstanding job of harnessing power from the tiny TD04. He answered all the n00b questions thrown his way, and offered helpful/useful suggestions during the tune. Thanks to Ed, I’m falling in love with the wagon all over again. Hell, I don’t feel so bad filling up at the station anymore. It's a pleasure to drive once again.
BTW, this was done with the ambient tempt of 94 F. Yes, 94, with the AC blasting on max between pulls. LOL
216.9 WHP @ 5020 rpm
260.9 Ff lb @ 3330 rpm
Power mods:
AP V2.0
MadDad Stealthback (catted) + Prodrive axleback.

Ed never ceases to amaze me
I can't wait to see what he can do with my car once I get the vf34. You referred to the car as a "wagon" but your info says FXT, was this a WRX wagon or a Forester?

Hey Souky, it's Adam, Ed's mechanic/partner. Glad to hear you're happy with the tune. That torque curve is just nasty!
It's funny because Ed and I were chillin at my house on friday commenting how strong your Forester was. Glad to hear the issues with your old tune have been resolved.
