Hey guys, I'd like to formally introduce myself as Darryl from Ultimate Racing in Toronto, Canada. Over the past several months we've acquired a white 2003 Subaru WRX and have since developed an impressive array of products for it. We've decided to group them in stages.
Stage I Upgrade
Our Stage I Upgrade kit for the WRX is your first step into increasing the power of your Subaru. With the use of quality and test proven parts, we make the initial modifications to allow your WRX to breathe more efficiently. Engine power: Expect a 20 whp gain after Stage I modifications.
- Ultimate Racing Cold Air Intake System with hi flow K&N Air Filter
Our system uses a high flow K&N filter and is a 2 piece modular design. The intake pipe will be upgradable to use with our turbo kits therefore reducing the cost to you.

- Ultimate Racing 3” Stainless Steel Cat Back Exhaust System With 4" Exhaust Tip
Made of mandrel bent, 304 stainless steel, our system uses factory hangers and mounting points for true a bolt-on system. Using a high flow polished muffler and 4” exhaust tip, this system will handle even the most demanding horsepower modifications.

Stage II Upgrade
For the more demanding performance enthusiast, our Stage II Upgrade not only increases the engine’s efficiency, but it also reworks the factory ECU. By re-mapping the ECU using EcuTek’s revolutionary software, stock driveability with the adjustability of a standalone computer is realized.
- Ultimate Racing Up-pipe
Made of heavy guage mild steel, it replaces the restrictive stock unit that included a cat. A stainless steel flex section and thick flanges are used to provide a leak proof fitment that bolts-up to the stock location.

- Ultimate Racing 3” Stainless Steel Down-pipe With Hi Flow Cat
This utilizes factory mounting points and will bolt-up to most aftermarket exhaust systems.

- EcuTek ECU Remapping
The technology is here to re-map your OEM ECU without replacing or adding modules from EcuTek. By using EcuTek’s software, Ultimate Racing reflashes your factory ECU to revise the following parameters: boost pressure, fuel curve, and ignition timing. Since the factory ECU is rather conservative in their mapping, we optimize each stated parameter for performance. This is the new world order in ECU tuning.

Stage 3 Upgrade
This stage is currently in the testing. The goal: to produce power beyond the capabilities of the stock turbocharger.
What it includes (tentative):
- T04E/T3 Custom Spec Turbocharger
- Large Custom Top Mount Intercooler
- HKS External Wastegate
- 550cc Injectors
- Hi-Flow Intank Fuel Pump
- Re-tuned ECU using ECUTek
- 3" Stainless Steel Downpipe
Our prototype WRX is currently equipped with the Stage 3 Upgrade and is undergoing our stress test to ensure durability as well as reliability.
We estimate this bolt-on kit to produce well over 300 whp EASILY.
UPDATE
We were over at BM Transmission in New Jersey this weekend using their 4-wheel dyno (believe it or not it's the closest 4-wheel dyno to us). We went down with our prototype WRX equipped with a full functioning Stage 2 Upgrade as well as a bone-stock WRX. The stock WRX did a dismal 163.5 whp and 174.3 ft.lbs of torque. One the other hand, the Stage 2 Upgrade did very well pulling out 220.4 whp and 221.6 ft.lbs of torque at the 4 wheels! That is well over 300hp at the crank no matter who does the conversion! That's close to 60 whp gained!
Here are the dyno charts for your viewing pleasure:

Here is a video of the WRX on the dyno. Please note that our prototype car is well equipped with an array of gauges to tell us exactly what's happening to the car.

Hey guys thanks for the compliments! Prices are on their way!
Malice
As far as unusual air turbulence is concerned, we use a flex pipe unlike the ordinary.
Here is an inside picture of your standard flex pipe. Notice the design. These definitely alter the way the air flows.

Now here's a picture of the flex pipes that we use. They are stainless braided on the inside and out. We're not saying that there's no turbulence caused at all...but it's definitely a step up from the other flex pipes. Also, the design of braiding on the inside and out makes leaking very tough!

InfamousDX
Yeah Junior IS a great guy. Funny as hell!
Thanks

That stage 2 dyno chart looks ALOT better than what my car dyno'd with simlilar mods but with an MBC and stock ECM. I suspect it must be the ECUTEK that makes the difference.. I peaked out at 213HP and 212TQ, but where my figures start to drop after 5,500rpms your chart stays much stronger..
Good results!

Hey guys,
Here's are some sneak peaks at the Ultimate Racing Stage 3 Kit.

This last picture is of our ice box for dyno tuning. Our last visit to the dyno, we noticed an incredible amount of heat soak into the intercooler as the car remains stationary during the run (No air from the hood scoop)

Thanks guys.

Hey guys,
Just wanted to let you all know that Ultimate Racing will be at the Speedorama Hot Rod & Performance Show this weekend (January 24-26). It's located inside the National Trade Centre at Exhibition Place in Toronto, Canada Here you'll be able to see our WRX Stage Upgrade kits in person. We will have our prototype WRX there equipped with the Ultimate Racing Stage 3 Upgrade. As well, we should also have a WRX Engine (on an engine stand) with portions of the Stage 2 Upgrade installed and our Stage 4 prototype WRX! So if you can, come check us out! It's a great show! We'll have our other prototype Turbocharged Honda S2000 there alongside a Supra, Mazda Speed Protege, and our prototype Turbocharged Acura RSX Type-S.
See you there!

Torque * 2 * PI * RPM
-----------------------------
33000
Is equal to:
Torque * RPM
----------------------
33000/(2*PI)
Which is equal to:
Torque * RPM
----------------------
5252
This implies that an engine's torque and horsepower curves cross at 5252 RPM.
Nice kit by the way...

wingless wonder- you forget that ice melts. As it melts cold water drops between the fins of the intercooler and cools it from top to bottom. I shoved ice in the hood scoop till it was full at the track. After two back two back runs the intercooler was cold on the front and back when I removed the intercooler.

Since you are using Ecutek I assume that you are still MAF based still right? Although, I don't see the sensor unless your relocated it (Maybe you are MAP and the stock ECU can do that too). I like it how your intake pipe no longer runs under the manifold too.
