So I guess it is pointless for someone with a USDM or JDM STi TMIC to swap to this unit?

i wouldn't say pointless, since bar/plate designs do have a flow advantage over tube/fine.

Ok, maybe not pointless but maybe not worth the money either. How much of an advantage is the smaller bar/plate design going to be over a larger tube/fin design? You can pcik up a USDM tmic for $350. That is almost half of what retial is on this tmic. not trying to knock this product, but what kind of advantages are there with this intercooler versus a USDM or JDM STi TMIC and would it actually be worth the extra $300?

PS- I am very interested in some sort of TMIC. Would rather stay TM vs FM.

When is the TMIC going to be released and what is the selling price? I know what retail is but you said it would sell for less

My estimate is $550-599. We should be getting them within 1-2 weeks.

Thanks Preston. Can you tell me if the STi splitter will work with this intercooler? Basically a 05 WRX with STi hood scoop and splitter.

any dyno numbers? is it going to be woth the extra money then buying a sti top mount? new intercooler and turbo setup are my next mods so i hope to learn more about it.

boardertj - It's comparable to all of the other TMIC on the market including the STi TMIC.
