Kartboy STi Short Shifter and Bushings in stock
We just got in our first batch of STI short shifters. Now we want them gone.
As with almost everything we sale there is free UPS ground shipping to the 48 states.
Kartboy STI Short Throw Shifter - $150 shipped
Will have our opinions on this one soon. Installation should happen today on the shop car.
Kartboy STI Shifter Bushings - $32 Shipped
We installed these on our shop car. They greatly improve the feel of shifting. Making the shift more solid resulting in a cleaner more precise shift.
Kartboy WRX Short Throw Shifter - $100 Shipped
Kartboy 2.5RS Short Throw Shifter - $100 Shipped
Kartboy WRX/STi Exhaust Hangers(Long and Short) - $32 Shipped
Kartboy WRX Shifter Bushings - $30 Shipped

We installed this on our shop car. The results are amazing. Very quick shifts, and takes care of the slopiness of the OEM shifter. We installed the shifter bushings at the same time, we will try to get some pictures up soon.
Install took about 1hr and was pretty simple, check out this thread on scoobymods for more install info.

Install of just the shifter bushings (20 minute job): http://mikeegan.stormpages.com/sti_kb.html
Really improves the shift feel. Now i can't wait to get the shifter itself!
Oh, and a free bump!

I looked at your very detailed write up of the short shifter install but I have a question, how come you have to bend the tabs up under the center console? If you don't bend those up, will you experience the shifter hitting something? Is that also why the plate is turned around? Sorry if this is an incoherant message, it's pretty late and I'm at wits end trying to complete an assignment.

Onizuka - the reason you have to bend the tabs is because when you flip it has some studs sticking up. If the tabs are not bent these studs will not allow the plate to sit full back down. If you do not flip the plate and bend the studs part of the shifter assembly will hit against the plate. Instead of the flip/bend method we decided to grind a small section from the plate that the assembly hit. Let me know if you have any more questions on it. Thank you
