Geoff,
I was at AutoX this weekend, and saw a number of 04 & 05 suby drivers with 3 & 4 point harnesses that pass thru the seat openings and attached to the clips above the rear deck. There was a special bracket that connected them and allowed them to use should harnesses. Do you know what they had, and do you carry it?

1) Sparco 4 pt. snap-in harness: This harness uses snap-in attachments which means that if it is mounted to the rear deck, it can be easily detached anytime you want to put people in your back seat. Price: $109
2) Sparco 3 pt. double release harness: This harness has a buckle between the rear mounting point and the shoulder harnesses so that it can be easily detached anytime you want to put people in your back seat. The benefit of this is that your harness will still be easily detachable if it is mounted to the rear waist belt mounting point. Price: $119
Both of these harnesses are similar to the harnesses pictured above in the harness post (in this same thread). However, those are the old Sabelt type which are not made anymore. The newer Scroth type are nicer and use a better quality nylon. Please let me know if you have any more questions. Thanks.

The old Sabelt style Sparco harnesses (made before 1/05), which is probably what you have, are good for 2 years from the stamped date. Once this date passes, new harnesses should be bought because the nylon starts to break down. Like expired medicine, the harnesses aren't going to be completely ineffective after that date but if you do any kind of serious racing where a severe collision is highly possible, you should keep your harnesses current. The newer Scroth style Sparco harnesses are good for 5 years because they are both FIA and SFI homologated. You only need to worry about this info if you use the 3" competition harnesses.
