i know this should be in the brake forum but i need to know where in the tristate area middlesex , somerset county , can i find replacement brakes for the front of my 02 wrx? noone carries them. my rotors are toast and my pads are worn. i call all parts store and noone carries it. non wrx only? btw i only have 5,800 miles on it and i drive normal im not a 18 year old who rides the brakes hard. is this normal.?what can i do about it ..

well, just returned from the dealer [flemington] and they say[found front brake pads at 2/32 and front rotors are warped.needs new pads and rotor cut on front. will resurface rotors and replace front pads.] exact words. i only have 5k miles and they didnt say if it was warranty work or not. should it be since it only has 5k miles? any input on this?

 

That would be an excellent question to ask the dealer. Let him know that you consider it abnormal, and should be covered via warranty.

 

I toasted my rotors on my forester with about 12000mi and they said the brake system is warented until 36000mi..

the dealer called me today and told me i had been setup of warranty work on my brakes ,no charge.i think they said they will resurface the rotors and replace the pads. soa finally takes care of a customer with out blaming mods.
