NYC: $25k '04 Sedan pre-tax&title. Good?
Hi,
Haven't bought a car in years, but am shopping for WRX's. Got quoted $25k for a sedan with sunroof, premium sound and short-throw. This is before tax and title.
Whatcha think? Seems pretty good to me but I would like your POV.
Thanks,
dhutty

Well, I've sorta got it in writting. I do not have an invoice or official print-out. But I do have it scribbled down along with prices for a wagon. I do intend to shop around, but it just seems to me that 25 is pretty good, but I don't know and I've never bought a car in NYC.
I'm going to Buffalo in the next day or so so I'll comparison shop there too, of course they would havce to give me a helluva deal to get me to come all the way back.
Good idea on the comparison shop. Thanks, and any further thoughts you provide wil most welcome.

Hey weasel
I'm looking probably for a wagon. I haven't made up my mind yet, but probably a wagon. The 25k is for a sedan.
For the sedan I'm looking for the premium package, the short throw shifter and the sound upgrade with subwoofer.
For the wagon I'm looking for all of the above (except the prem. package of course) and the cross-bar kit.
Both cars in Silver or maybe WRB.
I've been qouted the wagon with those options at $23,800 - $24,300 and the Sedan at $25k.
All prices are before taxes and title and whatever else happens when you buy a new car.
Yeah, if you have the time and the inclination I sure would appreciate you asking around. I've been to all the places in Brooklyn and also Major Subaru in L.I. City - didn't much care for them really. I've been out to Metric last year too and may ask them again.
Thanks for all your help.

Forget Major. They're absolutely horrible. I went there, and "dealt" with their star sales guy, and hated the experience.
I'm getting my wagon from Salerno-Duane in LI City.
They've been pretty good to me, but I'm not the right guy to ask about price since I'm getting at dealer invoice through IMBA.
