Wanting versus affording, WRX vs 2.5RS

I really want a WRX however I'm afraid it's out of the budget for a long time. I'm considering the 2.5RS as the next best choice. I'm interested in comments on real world everyday driving and the power level of the car. I'd also be interested in comments from people who have done mods to it and what effect they've felt from them. Thanks.

Any 2.5 RS drivers out there? I'm especially interested in the '00-01 models. Comments and critiques?

I had no problem with it.
Best looking Impreza in my opinion

Not sure if you care, but I have a 98 Impreza L and I love it. Wish I had a WRX though.

the problem you are going to have is actually finding a GC8 that someone wants to sell, they are pretty much cult cars, however I do know that one of the guys ATX25RS I think is looking to get a wrx and might be selling his RS

I wound up getting an Outback Sport in woodland green. It is a fine vehicle and more practical than the sedan. I am enjoying it tremendously and will do well with it until I can pass it along to a daughter and by then go for a WRX or maybe even an STi.
