What was your 1/8th mile times in Ennis so I can get a better idea of what I would run? This Friday should be about the same weather. I would recommend meeting at the Sonic meet on Wednesday, but it's supposed to be cold. If anybody has and idea or suggestion, let me know. I'm right by 35/121 Business.

Car Info: 2004 Black/Gold STi
Hey everyone. I'm new to the forum and wanted to say hello. I just got an '04 Black/Gold STi and absolutely love the car. I'm in the process of buying a stereo for it so that I can enjoy it even more. Oh, I also live in the Lewisville area.

I signed on to get some general questions answered. Has anyone experianced screeching from the Brembo breaks that come with the car? The dealer I bought it from says it's normal, but I've driven up to other WRX's and haven't heard anything. Also, my car is supposed to chirp when I arm the alarm. I know how to engage and disengage the chirp, but now it won't chirp. The lights still flash so I know the alarm is armed, but I can't get it to chirp. Any ideas, suggestions???

Happy and safe driving guys and gals!!!!!!!!!!!!

GC

Thanks Mosh for the reply, and thanks for the warm welcome. I'm just going to have to take it to the dealer and have them check it out. It's all still under warranty so there should be no problems fixing it. Good to know I'm not alone in this.

Thanks again,

GC

You should be able to hold both buttons for up to 5 seconds and the horn honks on the WRX to let you know the alarm is engaged or disengaged. The STI might be different though.

I'll try that again cause the owners manual says to unlock and then hold lock and unlock simultaniously for about 2secs and then the car will chirp? Last night I got home from work and it chirpped. Then this morning it wouldn't do it? Hope I don't have a lemon for an alarm?
