same here after 710 am est

I was able to get in for a while at my subject time, but shortly after 720am, I havent been able to get in since. I was hoping it was just my DNS updating URL Ips, but I have had no luck at work either.

Hence, I am here. This message board is really starting to get up and running.

No luck to nasioc as of 837am est.

What makes NASIOC "official" in your eyes?

I agree with the "cool" part about I-CLUB and the not-so-cool part about NASIOC. I do not know what makes NASIOC official but all my friends with Impreza's that go to NASIOC are now switching to I-club because I guess they did not know about I-Club. This slowly becoming recognized out here, hopefully with some more of my help. Still working on it.

I visited the site a time or two....meh. I-Club seems to have more useful content. I've heard that there's alot of Texas Subie owners on NASIOC but there seems to be the same amount here. I'm not sure about the official part, maybe they have more members, but I don't know for sure.

I met up with some more NASIOC guys at the Houston Raceway Park lastnight, and all they could talk about was how much better NASIOC is and how "tightly knit" they are and how much I-club sucks.. It taught me a lot about them (NASIOC members) and how quick they are to bash I-club, and I told him that is exactly why Im not posting on NASIOC and probably never will. So far I have registered 3 people 2 of which have thier decals already on and 1 who is already reading around on the forums and getting more familiar with the site. 1 guy (Mike) he does not have access to a computer at home so he is trying to find access. Anyway I believe slowly and surely TXIC will prevail and if some people out here are quick to bash I-club for whatever reasons they have, thats fine with me they are entitled to their own opinions but I don't want them near any of my friends and family so thats what I think. Just my 2 cents.

Well, in all honesty, there is no "official" site. i-Club is the original one. Noone can question that. True that NASIOC maintained all of the original content. I still have the huge database from before, but I see no reason to use it, as I started from scratch and look where we are at today. I am slowly cleaning up that database though and I will use its pre-split technical posts. It will take some time for me to do that, so don't hold your breath.

I was at hrp, Im not one of the ones that bashed i-club and Im not even sure if I met you, so I cant speak for them. But for whatever reason when iclub split the texas forum on nasioc is where most of the locals went and it has stayed active since then. Since there is already a community established there most of us just say go to txic for local subaru info.

Personally I dont care what the website address is, I have no stake in nasioc or iclub. I frequent nasioc only because I know probably 30+ people in texas on there, the local forum is very active, and its where most of the national level autoxers post. If I had interest in different forums or lived in a different region it could be just the opposite.

And you do realize that the reason the people you met wont come to iclub is the same reason you wont post on nasioc right?
