Bingo!!! And look at Obama's contribution so far. I'm not a geometry expert but that line looks vertical.

Great success!

Keep in perspective measuring the debt against GPD makes it a sliding scale, but it gives a good overall trend.

So many of you guys like to point out that WW2 was our out from the Great Depression, look what kind of debt we had to rack up at the beginning of that chart-

If that's what it takes to rectify a Depression, we've got a long way to go, no matter who is in the white house.

The difference being that Barry's Plan of gov't spending doesn't create jobs nor is it backed by gov't issued bonds similar to the war bonds of WW2....which were purchased by Americans.

When the gov't had to repay those bonds, most of the money stayed here, in America.

Barry's Plan calls for foreign gov'ts...cough, cough China...to fund his spending spree.

When the bonds come due, most of the money will leave the US.

The last several administrations set all this up, after all it was NIxon who opened relations with China back in the 70's.

If our country were analogous to the Titanic, I'd point out that W and his posse set the course into the North Sea, and their "crisis" of September '08 was the ship encountering its first iceberg.

Barry was brought on board with the (falsely advertised) "hope" of taking the helm, closing off the leaky portions, and turning towards safer waters, but instead he's busily rearranging the deck chairs while the same bunch of crooks who really screwed the pooch in the first place get new titles on the bridge (and jobs in Washington) pushing the flooded engine room for "full steam ahead".

I don't know, Pete.

The mechanisms that led to the housing market failure, etc, were put into place during Clinton's Reign.

Not trying to excuse Bush's incompetence...just saying...
