Note: I did not start this thread. It was put here for me not at my request.
I trully think that the moderators(staff) of this forum should not post their political views or make political coments in this forum. If they cannot keep thier mouth shut get a new staff member for this forum.
What I was meaning is that I feel the staff or forum leaders should leave their mod powers or title out of their political statements and not pressure the political statement or reply with moderation coments or moderation arm twisting even in joking. Let your political view or statement stand on its own without the added help or power of the posters status.

You're missing the point of what moderators are for Dave. Dre and Eric aren't here to be the Thought Police, they're here as the 'leaders' of the forum, and they're doing well by posting a lot of material that is sparking interest and debate. If people start complaining that they are abusing their powers by editing, deleting, and moving posts, then that will be dealt with. But being a moderator doesn't mean you've been issued a gag order by i-club. It just means that we have to think carefully before taking action that regular members cannot. Since regular members can run their mouths, so can moderators.
As I've said before, these two were chosen as the mods in here BECAUSE of their outspokenness and regular participation in these threads. They also counter-balance each other pretty nicely.

I think this is going to work out great. Although the moderators have different views, they seem to have a great deal of respect for one another and to me it seems like the forum will do great with them in charge.

I just think do one or the other. I don't want to keep people for posting a view but if you do that don't mod that thread. Once you have taken a side you should leave the powers to someone neutral. Or better yet don't mod unless you can stay neutral. We don't want any God complexes.

reading more into this forum I see this same issue as been brought up several times now which just reenforces what I was thinking on my own.

Replied to your post in the mod forum Dave. I think this is a matter between Alex and those who are part of his staff. If you have concerns, take them to those who can address them.

But you seem to be missing the point...
Dre and Myself can still be an active 3rd party group and mod effectively based on I-club rules and decency.
It's not like we're altering the content of posts, mouse clicks ablaze. so i still fail to see your argument.

I am not talking about actual use of mod powers but the passive use of power in the way the title is mentioned in political statements/posts. The two should be kept apart.

Yes you do.
You also have the ability as another moderator to PM me about your gripes before posting in public. Unfortunately, i don't have access to the 'Moderator's Forum' as of yet. If i did have access to said forum then we could have settled our differences in there without anyone realizing a conflict of interest & instability among I-Club and it's moderator's.
I've never treaded water in the forums you moderate but if i had a complaint I would have kept it private. In return, i'd appreciate the same respect from you in my AO.
That's all I have and ask.
