And the ties weaken between Saddam and Al-Queda

Interesting snippet:
"Bush was also informed that there was some credible information about contacts between Saddam Hussein and Al-Qaeda that showed that the Iraqi dictator had tried to establish surveillance over the group, according to the report.
Saddam Hussein believed the radical Islamic network represented a threat for his secular regime."

But, what the hell, who cares right?

Let's just wait and see what the Senate has to say. It's gotten to the point where I really do not know what to believe. If it all weighs against against Bush in this respect then i’ll be as upset as all of you. I already stressed this in another thread.

I'd also like to know where the National Journal got the information and if it was readily available when Congress made their decision (Given the fact the National Journal got it's hands on the info). Although they claim to have gotten some of their information from past GOP admin, does anyone remember that one article about a year ago that had a half a dozen top secret sources? I forget what the hell it was on though... If they did have access to it on top of the pertinent intelligence they received, then it's a classic case of 'Double Talk' as Orwell puts it and people not doing their homework.

Regardless of what this information boils down to, MOST ALL the evidence & intelligence was there from the start for Congress. Because a lot (not all) of the **** they're bickering about that wasn’t there or that “wasn’t clearly explained” was there from the start. That's surely double-talk.
