Stolen Honor (video)
Stolen Honor-- Wounds that never heal
This video gives you an interesting perspective on why Vietnam Veterans dispise John Kerry, besides his POW/MIA actions. It talks about Hanoi Hilton, how Kerry and Fonda spoke against ALL veterans and left them for dead.

The Navy doesn't accidently hand out medals, you can't just make up war stories to get a medal. If you do your research, those same fast boat guys praised Kerry just a year and a half ago, before he decided to run for President. When was senator they spoke at a fund raiser for him calling him curageous(sp) and spoke about the actions that led to the medals. This is just infotainment just like Moore's garbage 9/11. It's sad that people can't tell the difference and are influenced by this. The fact that Kerry spole out against the vietnam war, so did over half the population at that time, you probably have spoken out if friends or loved ones were being sent home in a body bag weekly. Think for yourself and stop listening to bothsides media and spin machines. It's ironic that you dispise Kerry for speaking out AFTER he served in combat but you think nothing of Bushe's family getting him a cushy assignment in the guard that he didn;t even meet his obligation to. Which is worse, free speech or draft dodging? Never could understand that one.

It is true that war crimes like that were committed. The military prosecutes people all the time. If traumatized soldies come home and snap and likk their families, why is it hard to believe that it doesn't happen in war. If you research in the library of congress you will find all sorts of crimes committed in vietnam by our soldiers. Crime is a cross section of society and so is the military. We have people steal, deal drugs, murderers. A SEAL that I worked with last year was killed by another SEAL at a party this year. They got in an argument and the other SEAL walked into his bedroom grabbed his 9mm and fired all the rounds into my friends chest. I don't think John Kerry witnessed all of these things but they did infact happen. If you look at the number of soldiers serving and the number of crimes, it was probably about the same incidents of crime in the average city. Also, are you not watching the news or reading the papers, we have people doing similar things in Iraq. The only difference is the media is much more open and news travels at the speed of light now. The North Vietnamese did the same things to the people and our soldiers too. Wake up. They don't call war "hell" for nothing. If that is why you hate Kerry, then their is no hope for this country, because all of it's citizens are asleep and only wake up during the 10 sec politiacal ads. I don't carry who you vote for but don't accept anything from either party at face value. They both lie like dogs. The truth is always somewhere in the middle and a whole lot complex than either side makes it sound.

By the way I voted for Bush Sr. and have nothing against republicans, but Bush Jr. is not his father and I don't think he has done a good job. The economy (though the recession would have happened anyway) has not been handled well, they lied to get us to go to war in Iraq ( their own investigation shows that the facts were twisted and interpreted to back up their position about invading), we have actually lost jobs (for the first time since they have track such things) and large companies are laying people off to boost profits so they can pay themselves more money and bonuses, and pay for Bush's reelection. It is well establish by all knowledgeable parties and experts ,even within BUsh's own party, that Iraq was not a threat to us, just a diplomatic pain in the butt and a brutal dictator. If that is the criteria we are going to use to invade a soveriegn country, we are going to be very busy for the next 200 years. Now we are in deep in two different muslim countries with new martyrs arriving daily from muslim countries around the world to fight the "infidels that are oppressing the Iraqi's", even though at this point we would just rather not be there. Why don't we just go invade North Korea? Because they would invade South Korea, we would back the South Koreans. China then takes Taiwan, Japn and us come to Taiwans aid and we have the start of WW3. How is Iraq any different. We jsut started WW3 with the more than 1 billion Muslims inhabiting the earth, except they don't have one nice neat little army to defeat, they are all over the would, some are terrorist, most aren't. Can't just blow them all up, what's Bushes solution. Kerry's is to us aid, trade and diplomacy to try to coexist with most muslims while continuing to search out terrorist cells and groups. I know giving aid and stimulating the word economy is expensive but not as expensive as 5-10-15 year worth of war. Do some reading this war is not ending anytime soon and the military can't sustain these operations forever without a draft. So all of you might get to earn your "Freedom isn't Free" Bumper stickers.

Dude, she and many soldier don't feel they deserve the medals they get for just doing their jobs, because in the end EVERYTHING we do is just doing our job, no matter how heroic. You have no real idea what took place that day but in my book she deserved what ever medal they gave her. You sound like you have some military experience, so I can't understand where that one comes from. I've been in combat, but never been shot up, watch all of my friends get killed, captured, tortured and been rescued. She has pretty much stayed out of the limelight and never taken credit for being a hero.
