Bombs are much more powerful weapons than rocks.
The palistinians are not the heart of this conflict, and won't get their asses kicked because they have been continuously squirmishing with Isreal for years. The big political move on Isreal's part is the attack/probable invasion of Lebanon and possibly now Syria. THAT is where Isreal is at "full out war", and that is the important part of this move.
