Ok, so we all are aware of the effectiveness of distributed computing, but what about distributed mind-share? Last night I awoke from the most bizarre sensation... some clairvoyant discussion where I was tapped into a "Borg-like" consciousness, participating in some intillectual dialogue on a topic I wouldn't think I'd be privy to.... and waking up was like someone snapped their fingers and I woke up from some hypnosis... not allowing me to remember what I'd just been a part of.

Maybe it was a result of sleep depravation, some evil plot by the CIA, or possibly I'm just nuts... so how 'bout it?

Do y'all think governments are playing with the paranormal to accomplish their goals?

Just to clarify; the Stanford Research Institute is near Stanford in Menlo Park but no longer has any official (or even unofficial as far as I can tell) connection to the University.

 

I though someone would past a picture of an aluminum foil beanie by now .

I had a really cool special agent type dream recently. I remembered it all though...the cool part was it turned into a typical 'falling' dream at the end (after a jet pack flight fight hahaha), but I somehow kicked into lucid dreaming and counted down to my splash landing. I stopped at 2 and hovered above the water for a split second, and then woke up breathing harder than if I had just run a sprint. It was awesome.


Maybe I was channeling James Bond...hahaha

 

haha... I've gotta give it up to Dumb for a well-written thread. I kept thinking to myself, "Did his kid get in front of the computer and post away while his daddy wasnt looking?"
