yes, very sad. It seems Freedom of Speech is no longer honored in Crawford. You think perhaps the president might speak out against this type of behavior?

It's actually a perfect example of free speech. He got to say his piece, and his readers get to say theirs.

"On their home turf, however, Mr Smith's reporters have been harassed and threatened near the Crawford Coffee Station, where President Bush occasionally pops in for fried onion rings."

Yep perfect example of "free speech".

Harrassed - free speech
Threatened - still free speech, but pretty lame.

But people telling him their opinion on his paper, or writing him letters to express their opinions, or choosing not to advertise in his paper, or cancelling subscriptions, there's nothing wrong with that. They are exercising their rights just as he exercised his. He's free to print his paper. They are free to not read or subsidize it if they dislike him or his writing.

Yes they are free to do all those but threatening a individual for what he writes is not a perfect example of free speech at all. All they had to do to voice there oppinion was not buy the paper. They obviously did not. Hence harrassing the guy and threatening him. Which is not something to "lol" about.

Read it again. One of his reporters was allegedly threatened.
And the lol was at the tards getting all upset about the paper as much as the tard who wrote it.
