PRC gives millions to illegals.

The People's Republic of California is about to become even more broke due to the unlawful tuition break it gives to illegals attending State Universities, while charging out-of-state stundents more.

"The dollar amount will be in the hundreds of millions of dollars and almost certainly $600 million," said Kris Kobach.

Explain to me just how illegals are a net benefit to me?

Nobody said it was about you, oaf. You're the only person laboring under the mistaken impression that this is all about you.

p.s. California is projecting a budget surplus of $5.2b. in 2006 FY

Also, Califormia enjoys an A/A2/A bond rating.

How does that make california "more broke"?

Your right, that's why thousands have filed a class action lawsuit against the college boards.

Things are that rosey in California?
Do you live in California?

The levies in Sacramento will fail without immediate repair.
There are thousands of homeless people in Sacramento.
The roads, bridges, schools are in need of repairs.

Beyond this, an economic downturn or even sharp slowdown sometime in the next several years would add several billions of dollars to the projected shortfalls, and while this is not our baseline forecast, it could always occur. For these reasons, it will be important for the Legislature to continue to take actions to minimize operating shortfalls, match any new or increased program funding with offsetting savings or revenues, avoid using the remaining deficit-financing bonds in 2006-07, and build up budgetary reserves.

Title eight doesn't state that all out of state applicants need be granted the same status.

It states

"an alien who is not lawfully present in the United States shall not be eligible on the basis of residence within a State... for any postsecondary education benefit unless a citizen or national of the United States is eligible for such a benefit."

americanresistance=right wing, isolationist, reactionary hogwash.

Talking

Also from the same CA.gov page.

This large carryover reserve will be more than sufficient to keep the state’s budget in balance in 2006-07 without any new program reductions or added revenues-even though current-law projected expenditures exceed projected revenues by $4 billion during that year.
Edit to say: This is exactly what I had said. Thanks for citing a link to my statement, Oaf. It's always good when somebody's got your back!

So Lojas, are you simply saying that CA is rich, so it's ok?

CA needs a dedicated law enforcement agency to weed out those who steal from CA taxpayers.

No...I'm saying oaf's premise is spurious. You should be aware of my critique tactics by now.

You lie>>>>I call you on it.

Same dynamic.

Lojasmo trembles at veiled threat.

You'll notice that the report you cited states that 2005-2006 shows a surplus. You are painting it to mean the opposite. It is disingenuous to do so.

I saw the guidelines for these illegal aliens to be considered for acceptance to a University. It was something like they had to have attended 3 years of HS in the U.S. and also be on their way to becoming an American Citizen.

I'll look for the exact requirments later.

What? The premise of the entire thread is mistruthful? I'm shocked.
