What if.. people just stop going to college?

There are about 3million jobs out there, but they're still empty because they require necessary engineering kind of degrees out there. Not enough people are majoring in those, so they sit out there. My own conclusion is that unless you're getting a degree in which is highly needed, like engineering right now and you are going all out to get that degree to make yourself marketable, the 4-6years in college is more for the experience than the job lying at the end. Maybe college is all about networking and trying to get your foot in the door. A lot of other jobs out there you can get in at entry level and work your way up the company.
