Our country is vulnerable right now... gas/refineries
So, is it obvious to anyone else that our refineries are our achilles' heel?
When they were showing on TV where all the existing refineries in the states are, it becomes apparent that there really aren't that many of them. I sure hope they have military-grade security.
I'd say this storm will do as much financial damage to our country (if not more) than 9/11.

Yes, we are very vulnerable now. I don't think people realize the type of destruction that’s happened with LA and mostly MS. It might as well been an atomic bomb. The only difference would have been casualties between the two.
I don't think the financial damage will be as bad as 9/11. On Cnbc they were showing the pipe lines. And pointing out that the most affected people are going to be the upper mid west, north and south east.

As a mem. of an orginization that addresses security of us critical infrastructure i can say that they are lacking in alot of areas, and the feds know it and are working towards a solution.
And know they do not have military grade security, not even all the nuke plants have that
(tho the nukes ar eheld to a much higher standard, but there have still been.. umm "lapses" in security at those facilities as well.
