I just heard a radio interview with a guy who played the Spanish-language version of our national anthem on a Spanish language station in Los Angeles. He said he gave it a lot of thought before doing so because he knew it would be controversial but decided to play it and let his audience be the judge or whether or not it was inappropriate. Strangely enough, he said that approximately 60% of those who heard it felt it was a bad idea and his listeners are mainly Latino. He attributes the negative feedback to those listeners who have sons serving in the military and that they wouldn't like the tradition to be tossed out. He also said that of that 40% who said the Spanish version of the song was okay, a large number of those were Anglo who tuned in just to hear it. Some of them qualified their remarks by saying they didn't especially LIKE the song in Spanish, but felt it was freedom of expression by the artist.
Personally, I think it's silly to record the "Star Spangled Banner" in any other language. It's the U.S. national anthem! What is the point?

And guess what you have the right to burn the flag. Get over it, it is "just" a song.

You are on crack if you think making an issue about a song that is made for hispanics well lessen tessions between groups. Especially at a time during all these immigration issues. But hey thats ok im a moron and I have no idea what im talking about. While you are just a genius with such a great concept that you voted for Bush.

Until you learn reading comprenhesion or can raise a valid point, I'm done with you.
It is about immigration both legal and illegal, but hey its a song in spanish so that automatically makes it a Mexican song.

Why because I believe in our rights? I would never burn the flag but that doesn't mean that I couldn't if I wanted to. It is very stupid in my book to get all worked up about something as silly as this. Our nation has way bigger issues at hand than a stupid National Anthem song done in Spanish.

Get over it, you have no argument, you just don't like me or anything I have to say so you try to talk ****. You are an ******* and your self ritchousness just makes you look even more like one. I hope you continue to make yourself look like a dick so nobody else has to waist thier time with you anymore.
I should have saved the condecending pm's you were sending me a couple years ago, harassing me about "speeling" errors I had made in some of my posts, and posted them here to make you look like more of an egocentric, elitist ***** than you have already made yourself to be.
Don't forget to wash your Che Guevara shirt for monday.
Late.
