Are all of you forgetting why went to Iraq? It wasn't to destroy all the individuals there.
That is not to say that I didn't want to beat the **** out of some people. Yet, what you and a few other are suggesting is just not right.

I honestly didn't think IED's would have such an affect on our tanks. Really big eye opener on how big they really are.

A serviceman that was in Iraq came to a club I'm in and mentioned something interesting about Baghdad. Supposedly there's an area of baghdad that our troops don't enter because we have some agreement with their PM (or someone like that) that we wont go over there. Because it's where all the wealthier people live or something. I don't remember exactly, but he said that's where a lot of the insurgents hide, plot, build, etc. because they know we wont go over there. The serviceman said: If we send the 20k troops there and send them into that area, it would be the best thing for this war.

Our mission statement would have some sort of language to the effect of 'destroy' anyone who is a threat and counter to stabiliity, etc, etc... Short of being outside of the borders of Iraq, there would be no such treaty or agreement that would allow the insurgents a safe-haven.
