My virtual nemesis now has a face. There is a touching poignancy in that (not Army bunk-bed touching, but touching none the less).
haha... true sign this forum has gone waaaaay over to the right. Waht started as a thread about peaceful demonstrations has turned into a counter-strike is rockzor discussion

2) Honestly, how many threads stay on topic? Are u really surprised that this thread deviated from the original topic?
I'm just surprised this thread became sticky.

Salty, I give you my word...I will ask around and try my best to find a photo of me in uniform....after that, you're going to have to take it at face value that it wasn't haloween or something.

This is a stupid thread to have as a sticky. I second the suggestion that a "military pics" thread get made and stickied. I will post my picture there.

As an aside: Does anybody have evidence to back up the assertion that soldiers protect the first amendment rights of the citizenry? I think it's a crap assertion as war is consistently used as a reason to abridge the freedom of speech.

History says so as well. Take away our military and 2nd amendment rights and watch what happens. In fact, these two reason are why the USSR never advanced against us.

Right, but eliminate our entire military and what that amendment has grown to uphold in moden times. You couldn't possibly disagree that this wouldn't create opportunity for other countries.

I'll pay for x2 $.39 stamps ($.78) via paypal right now so you can get the picture and send it back to whoever has it. If you don't have paypal account I can mail you one 39 cent stamp and a personal check for the other 39 cents. I’ll even stick the stamp on a return envelope for you.
What do you say? Making a quick phone call and returning the picture after a quick scan is only 5 minutes of your time.

Well at least you have the BAC experience. Are you shooting sim rounds with that M16?
lol.... nope.......that is a rubber duck. HAHA. the pic just came out good :-P We were just conducting training on crossing an LDA, and the public affairs guy was out there taking pics all week, and I was cool with him, so he gave me that shot before he left at the end of the week. Its kinda cool...
I have already done two courses on basic arms though, I scored expert last time we went out shooting, at our Fall ROTC FTX. It was pretty sweet though, we had brand new out of the box M-4's ! They shot really sweet.....much better than the tired ol' A2 that I shot at LTC....:-P
And its cool having the BAC "bling" on my uniform, lol, I went just because I could, and it was a matter of pride. I don't think that I will even end up with an ABN or AA unit, but oh well. At least I had the experience, and if I ever have to tell someone else to go jump out of a plane, I have at least had a taste, albeit small....
