They may say that, but they dont have to deal with the pile of crap that is the HMO/PPO system in the US. I would GLADLY have 50% of my pay taken for taxes if it meant universal coverage. I'd rather NOT end up bankrupt because some idiot tboned me and my insurance didnt feel like paying.
And he is most definitely NOT retarded. You may not agree with him and his methods, but his IQ, I can assure you, is ABOVE 70.

I hate Michael Moore with a passion but the health care system in America sucks. It's a complete scam like other insurance. Hospitals would be in the red without our system.
And the thing is good health care is very hard to come by. There's always that one hospital in your area that you hope to be near when you actually need urgent care. Or maybe there isn't. You get into a serious accident without $700/mo/per person coverage and the bills can ruin the rest of your life. And forget about your current coverage if you happen to get a serious illness. Then you're looking at a completely separate plan you must pay for in addition to whatever you're currently paying.

BFC was such a poorly constructive movie that i wanted to kick my tv while watching it.
for example, the segment where he showed that poor mother of the child who was shot in the crack.
that was in michigan. yet he travels all the way to hollywood to force an interview with dick clark, while in a parking lot.
oh yeah, dick clark just happened to own that restaurant that the mother has to travel 2 hours each way.
i mean what kind of BS is that...
his "movies" are at most, semi documentary.

I dont move to Cuba because I dont want to live there. I want to fix it here. I've always thought thats a stupid-*** argument ("why dont you move there"). the point of a democratic republic is that citizens CAN change the country, not that its a status-quo dictatorship that one must move away from.
