Kerry's Speech
It's still going on, but man he's a better speaker than W.
His words about the threshold for going to war really make a lot of sense.
*gasp* I'm leaning towards him now that I sit and think about the issues that matter to me:
Stem cell research: I'm for it
Abortion rights: I'm for it
Honesty: I'm for it.
The only thing I don't like is the spendiness of the dems.
But good speech so far.

As for the speech, he made some good, logical rebuttals to some of the things he's been criticized about. (i.e. the pessimism/optimism issue) And, yes, he comes across much more charasmatic and less puppet-like (which W still hasn't gotten over, imo) than Bush, and seems to have a much better understanding about how to handle the modern world and what needs to be done to restore the image of the US internationally.

I'd rather our tax dollars be spent on education and health care.
Kerry slam dunked it. Aggressive enough to sway those who think he's a weenie and wise enough to show that he's an honest man.
I'm impressed and he already had my vote.
Kerry in '04
p.s. on a side note, I'm an unemployed, recently graduated mechanical engineer. I'd like to work in the industry of alternative fuels and I refuse to send my resume to companies like Lockheed Martin and other companies who manufacture war machines. Hopefully, when Kerry gets elected, I'll be able to find a job. I know I won't get hired if Bush is still in office.
