I have respect for any man that is suffering from Polio and is able to lead this country against one of the largest threats this world has ever seen.

If you drank and fornicated as much as FDR did, you'd make a great prez.

Hey, I'm not defending his habits - just merely stating that he had some cahones.

Executive order 9066. Rounding up Jews is bad, but I guess it's ok for us to round up Japanese Americans.

**** FDR.

We didn't have special "shower rooms" for the Japanese.

But yes, it was still wrong.

They were called "happy ending" rooms.

It was beyond wrong; it was reprehensible, and ranks as one of the major blights on our nation's history.

Worse things happening elsewhere does not detract from the severity of it. One could even say that the mere fact that it happened here, in the United States of America, is far more shocking than it occurring in an overtly fascist regime.

I believe that FDR, like many presidents before and after, was a tyrant--and anyone holding him up as some sort of paragon of the presidency says quite a bit about the person.

That came off a little more strongly worded than I'd like... I just got up to get ready for work, so my message isn't balanced by patience yet.

Anyway, you get the idea!

Shocking? Hardly. It's amazing how many Americans will back you when you convince them it's about national security. Besides, how is this worse than dropping a few nukes over civilian cities?
