Italy does what we should be doing

This is one of the many zero tolerance measures we need to use but won't because we risk upsetting too many people.

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/8523140/

Girone said the operation was focusing on Milan because it had been the major focus of Italian investigations into Islamic terrorism and because it “could be a major risk of possible attacks.” He said the measures were designed to make people “feel calmer after the London attacks.”

Of those arrested, 84 were immigrants and authorities issued 52 expulsion orders, he said. Most of those arrested were accused on drug, petty theft or immigration-related charges, he said.
You see, people in the US of A would rather wait till they did something wrong instead of taking any means of prevention. This type of logic is asinine. You don't have your child vaccinated after he/she is terminally ill, do you? How can we stop a terrorist attack after its happened? They’d rather trust the intelligence community to protect them even after their obvious failures. Half these people have made personal attacks toward the intelligence community and have liberal views at the same time! It makes no sense to me.

The problem we face is that doing this never really gives us the opportunity to gain hard statistics. Italy will never really know if this action paid off. It's a risk worth taking because we're swinging blindfolded. We cannot complain about another terrorist attack until we're willing to accept the possibility that a person or group of people could be guilty by association. Those that are impacted the most have to thank the radical Muslims they're associated with as they’re issued a one-way ticket to the Middle East.

So how far do you go in order to define petty association?

Wow, they dispatched 2000 officers to round up suspected terrorists I wonder what they'll do with them.

They rounded up 142, 84 of which were immigrants and deported 54 of the 84. It's a start toward anti-terrorism. I think this is better than counter-strikes **** them before they get a chance.
