I'm not too surprised by the results so far. I just figured a lot of people here would be because there doesn't seem to be any foul play in the numbers.
I'd like to point out that the United States backed Allawi does have the 2nd highest share of the votes. Says something about the Iraqi's trust in the United States if you ask me.
I didn't have any doubts that Ali al-Sistani might take the lead.
