I asked my brick mason father if any of his workers didn't show. Not to stereotype but a lot of these guys look fresh off the wagon if you know what I mean. My dad is very much so against illegal immigration and told me they all came to work today because they're all LEGAL! Every goddamn one and good for them! All of them are trying their hardest to learn English as well.

Well people that say shiet like La Migra, and I couldn't understand wtf they were saying anyways. Not all the people out today were illegal, it seems that there are a lot of people that do not believe or know hwat this country is all about. If illegal you should be able to apply for amnesty or at least some kind of work permit. That way they can pay taxes, also pay dmv, and have the right to get medical through a place that is hiring them legally and what not. Anyways I do not believe anyone should be made fun of, since not all illegals are Mexicans, also not all protestors out there today were other races too, so if you plan on talking a lot of shiet you should also pick on them. There are lots of doumented cases showing the more people that work here illegally actually cause more work for documented workers and what not. Racism starts with something as small as I do not need maid service and taco trucks. Hey Salty my problem is with people trying to make fun of Immigrant workers, nothing to do with being illegal or not. I love this country, but we need to not make undocumented people "felons" we need to find a way to make them a part of our society. That's all for now.

f-ing idiots. and I'm not talking about the II's...I'm talking about the people saying they should "wait and pay the thousands of dollars in fines."
you must be a complete moron if you cannot see that the reason they are coming over the borders illegally is because they dont even have the money to support their families....so you think they have the money or time do it the legal way?
If I was born in Mexico I'd be dead. I have diabetes and would probably not have even been able to go to the hospital in the first place.
You all who have immigrated here legally/are descendants of those who have come illegal...dont you feel so lucky that you were able to do it that way? Remember, not everyone is as fortunate as you and/or your family have been. It'd be nice if everyone could do things the way you do, wouldnt it? The world would be nice if we were all so fortunate.

MR. PRESIDENT, I'M HEADED TO MEXICO
Dear President Bush:
I'm about to plan a little trip with my family and extended family, and I would like to ask you to assist me. I'm going to walk across the border from the U.S. into Mexico, and I need to make a few arrangements. I know you can help with this.
I plan to skip all the legal stuff like visas, passports, immigration quotas and laws. I'm sure they handle those things the same way you do here.
So, would you mind telling your buddy, President Vicente Fox, that I'm on my way over? Please let him know that I will be expecting the following:
1. Free medical care for my entire family.
2. English-speaking government bureaucrats for all services I might need, whether I use them or not.
3. All government forms need to be printed in English.
4. I want my kids to be taught by English-speaking teachers.
5. Schools need to include classes on American culture and history.
6. I want my kids to see the American flag flying on the top of the flag pole at their school with the Mexican flag flying lower down.
7. Please plan to feed my kids at school for both breakfast and lunch.
8. I will need a local Mexican driver's license so I can get easy access to government services.
9. I do not plan to have any car insurance, and I won't make any effort to learn local traffic laws.
10. In case one of the Mexican police officers does not get the memo from Pres. Fox to leave me alone, please be sure that all police officers speak English.
11. I plan to fly the U.S. flag from my house top, put flag decals on my car, and have a gigantic celebration on July 4th. I do not want any complaints or negative comments from the locals.
12. I would also like to have a nice job without paying any taxes, and don't enforce any labor laws or tax laws.
13. Please tell all the people in the country to be extremely nice and never say a critical word about me, or about the strain I might place on the economy.
I know this is an easy request because you already do all these things for all the people who come to the U.S. from Mexico. I am sure that Pres. Fox won't mind returning the favor if you ask him nicely.
Thank you so much for your kind help.

Mexicans need to stay in Mexico and finish the ****ing revolution.
The Poor need to stand up & take what is theirs.
Illegals are in sorcing labor, which means you get paid less since they'll work for less.
Illegal Immigants are victims of Industrialized Slavery, thus supporters of illegals are supporting slavery.
On a positive note, I heard on the radio that Mexicans/Latinos were at least able to really hit the magical 1 million mark, which is more than can be said of the OG Million Man March!!

Tax illegals, and prices for certain foods/services/products goes through the roof making the cost of living higher for the rest of America. Our economy depends on their labor.
Don't tax illegals, and American citizens pay for their children to go to school, and their medical. Our schools are already very crowded (student to teacher ratio), and are being affected by budget cuts all the time.
There are so many other scenarios/issues for and against. Catch 22. I hope everything gets worked out and a solution is presented.
The one thing that makes me upset about this situation is there are some young kids that don't have a clue what this is about. This is for immigration reform, not a cultural pride day. I'm sure many of you have seen the picture of a high school in So Cal where students raised the Mexican flag over an upside down US flag. That is what annoys me. Blatant disregard by some uninformed protesters. It hurts their cause. I'm sure it's a small percentage of protestors, but completely unnecessary.
I believe that showing respect for the country you want to become a citizen of is essential for the cause.

In Sacramento, immigrants from countries other than Latin America seemed to keep businesses open.
Shiela Prakash, who co-owns the Pacific Asian Mart in south Sacramento, said Monday's action was "mostly for Mexican people," although she sympathizes with illegal immigrants from Mexico because she said she thinks they take jobs many people from her home country, Fiji, would spurn.
Some Latino-owned businesses were closed to show support for the boycott, but El Novillero, one of the city's largest Mexican restaurants, remained open.
"We received about five phone calls on Saturday, asking if we would be open on Monday," said Jose Davalos, co-owner of the popular restaurant on Franklin Boulevard.
"The callers were trying to intimidate us into closing. When my son and other employees said that yes, we would be open, the callers said that was bad."
El Novillero's employees, most of Mexican descent, didn't want Monday off, Davalos said. "They wanted to work," he said. "That's why they came to this country."

I’ve always loved El Novillero’s but now I love them x100 more!

We erroneously box all Hispanics into one lump sum. Dating back to the Spanish conquests, the Hispanic identity has been stratafied.
But back to the topic at hand. Imagine if you lived in a war-torn Latin America country, ravaged by years of civil war. In that situation, wouldnt you want to escape to a country where you could contribute and ascertain a more solid future for your family?
I understand differences of opinion; I dont get all of the hate that has surfaced in response to the immigrant rallies. I kid you not, this sentiment is earily similar to that found in the rural south.
