Thanks for the heads-up on this one, Pat. Any idea what class # and school they'll be focusing on? I'm sure it'll be Benning eventhough Camp Robinson is on the rise. I may actually see people I know on this show.

The Discovery, History and similar channels actually do a great job of covering life in the armed forces. It has nothing to do with propaganda when they're accurate documentaries meant to educate.

He was a psychotic meth addict. Schizophrenic. Didn't have anything to do with layoffs or plant closings. Sorry the whiney tards in that movie pissed me off. It's still worth watching though.

Actually some of those shows are quite critical of the military and civilian leadership.

Cul-de-Sac is basically an attempt to blame a man's drug addiction and mental illness on "The Man".
"Army of One" has two characters hating the Army, only one liking it.
"Why Intelligence Fails" is pretty obviously a criticism of our intelligence establishment.
"War, Lies & Videotape" also appears to have a critical slant if the title is any indication.
And "Off to War" is basically an anti-war film featuring soldiers and their families criticising every aspect of the war in Iraq.

Yeah, those channels are funny (History, TLC, etc...). One show will come on all about how awesome our military is, and how cool and superior all our weapons are, then they'll have a show about the attrocities of the wars we've faught. When you look at all their programing together, though, I think they do a fair job of keeping moderate on most issues. If anything, I think there's prolly a couple directors or producers who try to spin certain shows their way but the writting and the channels themselves are unbiased.
