I'm offended.
Recent threads *cough* Voter Fraud *cough* and other threads in the past *cough* Nick Berg, 9/11 Pentagon Theory, Morning of 9/11--Bush in School House Theory etc. *cough* have actually been bothering me every time I login...
For some reason I get offended when threads turn in the direction that these ones have. Mainly because some of you guys (you know who you are) will present a ludicrous idea as fact without any solid evidence. It doesn't offend me in the slightest that you believe such conspiracy theories. What does offend me is the fact that you think I’m nuts and misinformed for not having believed the same thing.
It's also a bit discouraging when people complain about voter fraud because their candidate lost. It's as if you never really cared about my right to vote in the first place because nothing really counted anyway, right? The reason why I feel this way is because of what wouldn't have happened if the tables were turned. If Kerry had won there wouldn't be any question of voter fraud from any of you! Even if Kerry won by a substantially large margin after 3500 miscounted votes in Ohio. And no, I wouldn't have complained about it for one damn second!
I know I’ve stepped on my tail a few times here so you don't have to emphasize that. Sometimes I post something just to get people to bite and/or bait them for another point further down the thread. But give me a break guys...
It amazes me that these very same people always complain on how closed minded and detached all the High life drinking, shotgun shooting, bible thumping, Neo-Con Rednecks are when they're doing the same damn thing on the other end of the spectrum!
Stop it!

Hmm...I've heard some ludicrous ideas presented to me by my government without any 'solid' evidence...and then they had to tell me that they were wrong...are you offended by them? Nope...because you like them...at least more than you like some of us hehehe...
Don't mean to offend you, Salty, but this thread smells like flame bait to me...

At least the reasoning behind my views weren’t influenced by the Hail bop comet -or- the light reflected off Jupiter’s atmospheric gases.

You know what offends me? People who think it's ok to spend billions and kill thousands based on fabricated evidence. It has nothing to do with enjoying shotguns, having faith or your choice of beer.
I guess I like to feed trolls.

Dick Cheney directed the whole thing from Washington, under the guise of several "terrorist training drills" so that the expected intercept responses from Norad and the ANG were halted because commanders thought that these hijackings were part of these drills.
I think that the planes were flown by remote control, although I fully expect that there were some radical Islamists led to believe that they were on a "mission from Allah" to hijack the planes, and lend some token creidbility to the official story, but they couldn't have known the real plan, and couldn't have had the skills or reliability needed to fly the "final mission" with certainty.
The "missile hit the Pentagon" hypothesis is being promulgated by those in the know- as disinformation to discredit anyone who even questions the "official story"
But the destruction of the world trade centers was done for two reasons;
1) to obliterate records of international criminal activities carried out by certain "friends" of the administration, and
2) to serve as the PNAC's "new Pearl Harbor" an attack of such enormity and complete outrageous proportion that the nation would be spurred to otherwise untenable levels of hatred, so that those really in power could accelerate their plan to take over the world.
Go ahead, try to prove to me that any of these points are wrong, I don't think you can- because there is more evidence out there supporting my story than there is supporting the "official" story.

I think we as a nation are headed down the wrong path where we are trying to "spread" freedom to a world that doesn't really want a piece of our freedom. How many more countries are we going to attack un-provoked? I think that we are going to end up making a lot more enemies than friends and this will bite us in the *** at some point. Who knows when.
I also think that at the rate this country uses natural resources we are going to see a melting of the polar ice caps within one hundred years and this is going to be disasterous for the human race. Something has to change, whether it be from Bush or whoever follows him.

How can this possibly be offensive to you when a) You've never seemed to have a problem with un-solidified theories unlike others in this forum and; b) Can you possibly justify any of the theories mentioned in the first paragraph of the very first post in this thread?

Though many of us including myself arnt happy about it....
The fact is that Bush won, fair and square. Period.
Contesting any results at this time (especally on a internet message board) is not going to do anything but **** people off. For this, I am 100% with Salty on this one.

Salty I don't get offended, I get amused. The AFDB element of the internet is a hoot. And once in every zillion conspiracy theories they even get one right. Ever listen to that guy on KFJC? Dave Emery? It's great stuff. Makes Art Bell look like milquetoast.

BTW- I say this because I saw this very thing on the news last night... on what some may call a 'liberal' network (MSNBC)... but still... if it's being suggested in the newspapers and on television, you shouldn't be so 'offended' by the idea being posted here. Unless you are trying to filter the threads and supresss one point of view.... I KNOW that's not your goal.
I know I’ve stepped on my tail a few times here so you don't have to emphasize that. Sometimes I post something just to get people to bite and/or bait them for another point further down the thread. But give me a break guys...
Also, I agree that several of your own posts don't show much logic, and are designed just to incite people, but I don't seem to see that 'point further down the thread' materialize very often...
It amazes me that these very same people always complain on how closed minded and detached all the High life drinking, shotgun shooting, bible thumping, Neo-Con Rednecks are when they're doing the same damn thing on the other end of the spectrum!
...but this still doesn't validate the rest of your post, if that was your goal.
Please realize that there are moderates on both sides, and everyone has their own 'center.' What one may see as Neo-conservative, another may see as mainstream america. What one may see as radically liberal, another may see as the path our country needs to take.
Just try to respect others here, as well as thier views- despite how much you may disagree with them.

I got this in an e-mail today and really couldn't have said it better, ponder these words;
traveling south from the cold, frozen North under heavy gray skies today. I've been thinking about the Great Divide in my beautiful country. Wealth beyond imagining and poverty and degradation equal to many third-world countries. Vast unspoiled expanses of near-virgin landscape, contaminated ground water and poisoned air. Flattened mountains, filled wetlands. And then there is the Divide between words and their meaning. There are some excellent words being bandied about lately that I would like to reclaim.
I am a conservative: I will do everything within my power to try and make my government act fiscally responsible, and to not saddle the unborn generations of tomorrow with the excesses of today. I will not be party to the squandering of our natural resources and poisoning of the water and air of our beautiful nation and our one and only Earth.
I will be guided by morals: I will oppose the wholesale destruction of life, the sundering of families, the bankrupting of the spirit and ecological disaster that war brings in all its forms. And I will embrace the Christian ethics of finding understanding, love and forgiveness in my heart for people different from myself. I will rejoice and celebrate and protect all of God's creations in the boundless and unfathomable Universe.
I am a patriot: I will fight to uphold the laws of our great nation and will do everything within my power to help assure that each citizen gets one, and only one, vote. And that every sacred vote is counted and verified. The poorest of our countrymen, struggling to realize the American Dream at a minimum wage dead-end job, should be equal in the voting booth to the wealthiest and most powerful captain of industry. I will not allow my country to be purchased by the "Haves and the Have Mores".
When did these words take on other meanings?
sorry to have upset you Salty, but sometimes "offensive" things need to be acknowledged.
And Silverscoober, I really hope my 911 conspiracy theory is totally wrong, but you gotta admit that certain elements of the official story, the lack of a serious invesigation (-at least the potential conflicts of interest held by those on the official commission- once it finally happened) and ensuing blame game are simply not plausible.
(where's that pathetic fiddle-playing emoticon Salty used to throw my way?)
