And I now stick by my prior stance that 'religion is the final barrier of mankind that must be destroyed.' more than ever.

Why you people allow your labels and beliefs to separate yourselves and cause animosity is beyond me.

i was going to type up a nice, logical, well written response to this comment, but what would best describe my reaction would be this:

get over yourself dude... you can't "save" those that don't want to be "saved" or don't believe they have anything to be "saved" from.

i realize that. I mention it only to close friends once, and i let them take it from there. I dont know where you got the idea that im some jesus freak preaching to every person that walks up to me in downtown santa cruz.

Never once did i say or hint that i try to save people repeatedly until they cant stand it. I know you cant save, or cant persuade anyone in anything if theyre mind is in a different place

I rarely mention it to anyone. And when i do, i just mention it and if they want to get deeper into it, then cool, and if they dont, cool.

And i dont know why you keep saying "get over yourself" and "youre so ****ing cool"as if im so cocky douchebag... im just trying to defend myself here.

That would explain why he had to walk everywhere and had a crew of 12 hommies follow him around in case somethin pops off.

Religion is a personal thing, what difference does it make to you what someone believes in be it Allah, a cow or a flying spaghetti monster. People that talk about religion when it isn't solicited are like people who talk about their last bowel movement at dinner to me. I personally don't care what you believe in because all that matters to me is what I believe. Religion has been used for amazing and absolutely horrid things just the same. If you want an awesome lesson on religion go someplace that it means absolutely everything, it'll change the way you look at it.

I particularly liked the last sentance written here. I completely agree. In other places lets use Iraq for example its not like hey im gonna be lutherin, catholic, mormon, 7th day adventist, non denom, WHATEVER. Its more like hey I was born a muslim. Now question is are you sunni, shia, whahhabist, etc. If you choose to go away from that you face much turmoil and criticisim. MY POINT is its great that we are born with a choice and rather than going out and killing people with the opposing views in this thred we just flame eachother. Following god is cool and somthing I choose to do. I enjoy the fellowship and it helps me to be mindful of other people and kind cause otherwise im a serious *****. Do I need god for that? NO but it helps. As far as pushing religeon down other peoples throats well it all about MARKETING the church dont pay its bills on its good looks.

or if religion doesnt make sense anymore yet you still believe some type of god, become a agnostic like i am :P
i'm no atheist because i cant prove there is no god and i cant say your god doesnt exist, i can only say there is a possibility of god and equal possibilty of no god.
