Chrysler LLC filed for bankruptcy protection Thursday and will form an alliance with the Italian carmaker Fiat Group SpA in an effort to revive the nation's ailing third-largest automaker.

This should be an interesting template/precedent of what can be expected from an automotive bankruptcy...Though I am a little skeptical of the "surgical bankruptcy” claim that it could be completed in 30 to 60 days. Especially since United took 3 years to resolve and Delphi is under Chapter 11 (since 2005)...

I do want to read up more of the holdout group of creditors wouldn’t budge on proposals to reduce Chrysler’s secured debt. What were the proposed terms?
