Gasoline prices dropped over 30%

I'm surprised there hasn't been a thread yet.

87 octane here has been up to $3.40ish in the last 2-3 months. Yesterday, I saw $1.99 a gallon.

I'm happy about the gas prices...my luck is funny though. Now that I'm at school I only drive ~80 miles/week on weekends...when the gas prices were up I was driving that in one to two days. Oh well hahaha....

I would like to see someone go after big oil for gouging the public. Why is it that during the summer (the US travel season) there is a huge oil shortage and gas prices shoot to higher than ever prices....But now that fall has come it is dropping exponentially? I thought there was a shortage?

*sarcasm* What did they just find more oil somewhere?

Where on earth are these prices? I paid $2.75/gal in town (Denver) on thursday, only to have to pay have to pay $2.93/gal for regular up in Vail yesterday. I could seriously go for some $1.99/gal gas

and you really think it's not??? :rotfl: Odd how the closer and closer we get to the november elections the lower the gas prices get.... I garuntee it gets down to ATLEAST 2.10-2.15 a gallon before the november elections, then goes back up substantually after.

They have found that the only thing that directy correlates to bush's approval rating is gas prices, not the war, nothing. American public doesn't care about the other **** because it doesn't effect them

Only to the extent that Republicans are generally more friendly to big business, meaning that any conspiracy is within the energy mob. This cuts both ways, though, when you consider that people generally vote with their wallets. Was that tax cut more or less than the change in your engergy bill?

I don't remember that after the "liquid bombs" were stopped in England, when Saddam fell from power, or after the 9/11 attacks that Bush's support went up. I would be interested to see a graph of his approval rating vs the avg price of gas over the past 6+ years though.

Oh and how does the war and our safety NOT affect the American public?
