G20 Protest
G20 Protesters Jam London, Storm Royal Bank of Scotland Branch
Time for the police to issue some wood shampoo.
Thousands of G20 protesters jammed downtown London on Wednesday, storming and smashing the windows at a Royal Bank of Scotland building. Others tried to storm the Bank of England, pelting police with eggs and fruit and rocking the barricades designed to control them.
One protester dressed as the Easter bunny managed to hop through the police cordon but was stopped before he could reach the Bank of England. Another black-clad demonstrator waved a fake light saber at officers.

Yeah, I am glad they are doing this, but they are not getting "good" attention. haha
I was in London when the economy there took a dump, so they are rightfully irritated. The former CEO of RBS (Royal Bank of Scotland) got away with 1 million pounds a year "compensation" after tanking the company. There is already 2 million unemployed people and they are expecting 3 million unemployed by the end of the year.
Why does the CEO of RBS deserve that money? He doesn't and the tax payers are paying it since Great Britain worked to pass a stimulus package as unworthy as our own. It is similar to the AIG bonus problem, except they are actually protesting unlike us "silly" Americans that allow this to happen without doing anything. HA
But I will say that there is a huge Socialist movement in the college system there. HUGE. I talked to many students that were in favor of socialism and they had posters up, had demonstrations, etc. Basically, protesting is bound to happen.

Don't get me wrong, I like a good protest from time to time.
However, Easter bunnies & light sabers will most likely not garner your cause much support.
