I don't see how this is a big deal? It does seem suspect at first but anyone remotely interested in American news (which would include the American market for Newsweek) should already know what's happening in Afghanistan.
The “us” does not want us to see the truth? This would suggest that the POTUS have a say in what Newsweek publishes. Could it be that Newsweek pays teams to do research on what will sell more magazines at this point in time? My guess is that Newsweek publishing a different magazine shows that people don't care about OEF. ****, some people don't even know OEF is still happening or ever happened for that matter. Ask around and you'll see for yourself.
